Floors, they are in every office and with many different variables they can be one of the most dangers things in the office. Just like any tool in the office, if a floor is not properly taken care of it can become a hazard. The floor does not have to be wet to cause a fall. Clutter or just not paying attention to where you are walking are also other common reasons for employees falls. The Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA) says that most common injury in the workplace are falls. Falls can be easily avoided if everyone is vigilant and does their fair share of protecting everyone else. This can be as simple as cleaning up spills, if there is trash or items in the way pick them up or move them to the side. Think of the hallways as the driving, you should never be distracted and always keep your eyes on the road. That document you just printed can wait to be read when you get back to your office, when you walk don’t read text.
