Cords, it seems that they have a mind of their own and when they become tangled, it becomes danger in the office. Tangled cords are clutter than can lead to a trip and fall and an injury. Somehow cords manage to blend into their surroundings like camouflage and when you least suspect it they jump out and get you. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), many slips, trips and falls can be attributed to tangled cords. Slips, trips and falls make up the majority of general industry accidents, as well as 15 percent of all accidental job-related deaths. However, it is easy to safeguard the office from accidents like that to happen. Placing a surface cable raceway over the cord will not allow it to move and they are large enough to be seen by employees. There is some responsibility on the person who is walking, an easy way to not slip, trip and fall is to pay attention to your surroundings. Pay attention to where you’re walking and if you see tangled cord, move it or put a sign warning up for others.
